Preparations of the sfax  Chamber of Commerce and Industry  are underway to organize  the 1st International Meeting of the Olive Oil in Sfax from 9 to 11 November 2016 .

A lot of  importers and purchasing groups coming from many countries will attend this event   which aims to strengthen the exportation of Tunisian  olive oil to its traditional markets.

The sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry will continue in the organization of this great event , together with its national partners  namely the Institute of Olivier, the Business School of Sfax, CEPEX and the Higher Institute of Biotechnology in Sfax to refine the final preparations for the event and to promote the forum nationally and internationally.

These meetings will also benefit from the support of the project to strengthen the capabilities of the regional Chambers of Commerce in Tunisia, MEPI and support of the Ministry of Industry, the Technical Center of Packing and Packaging (PACKTEC) and many other public and private structures

In the international level , the sfax chamber of commerce and industry  conducted a series of campaigns and missions in which it proceeded to promote the Forum and the olive oil Guide which is one of the major focuses of the development strategy value of the olive sector in the region of Sfax in particular and in  Tunisia in general.

Besides, it is expected that many foreign delegations representing several countries such as France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, Russia, Japan, USA, China, Canada, the Gulf States and Brazil will participate in the forum.

A Chinese delegation is expected to attend this  event as confirmed by the Ambassador of this country Mrs. Bian Yanhua who was received by the President of the sfax chamber of commerce and industry  Ridha Fourati on the sidelines of her visit to the region during  the celebrations of Sfax Capital of Arab Culture 2016.

For his part, the Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of China in Tunisia Zhingwen Mr. SHEN, received on July 26 in the office of sfax chamber of commerce and industry  ,  expressed the disposal of the Embassy to bring the Chinese olive oil buyers to the Forum and to collaborate in the preparation of the  Tunisian businessmen mission in China.
